Hi Catherine,
I've taken you up on the challenge - with a variation - 10 Victoria bloggers to follow. And no surprise - you're on my list. :)

Cheers,
Cindy

Catherine - thank you for your very kind words. As an extreme Twitter newbie, I have been overwhelmed by the open nature of the Twitter community in Victoria. You have all made it easier for a social media neophyte to find her place.

Catherine,

One of me is humbled and grateful. The other of me is thinking that it's about time - and yet also appreciates the eventuality of it all.

I'm sure that other guy will thank you eventually.

Well, my instinct tells me that it's similar - if Third Tuesday's purpose is to promote (social) medial literacy, encourage best practices, promote ethical use of social media, and share lessons learned. I've not been to a Third Tuesday, and hope to change that status soon (it'll mean a trip to Vancouver of course).

Check out <a href="http://socialmediaclub.org"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">socialmediaclub.org </a>for a more detailed description, or take a look at my previous post, <a href="http://www.wordspring.ca/2009/04/social-media-club-higher-standards-for-a-growing-industry/"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Social Media Club: Higher Standards for a Growing Industry</a>. Thanks for writing, and I hope we'll see you on June 23rd, when Social Media Club next meets.

Thanks for your info about the Victoria Social Media Club. I will definitely try to connect. I know a few cities such as Toronto and Vancouver have started Third Tuesday groups - sounds like this might be something similar?

I'm honored to be included in that list, Catherine - thank-you for that very generous write-up! Lately I've been a bit quiet, and I'm still not sure I'll ever get back to doing a.m. meet-ups or tweet-ups either, but I'll definitely give myself a kick and get out in the p.m. Eight in the morning is just too brutal for me, though! ;-)

Hope to see you again soon!

Thanks for the list Catherine - I've seen the #FF hashtag and its variations lately but I wasn't even sure what it meant. But now I know and you've given me a nice starting point for tracking down other Victoria types to follow on Twitter. Much appreciated.
