I agree that a blog does not have to be on a separate site. I have just finished setting up a Wordpress blog on my site. I've been doing it myself, more just to gain experience doing it and I find the challenge exciting. I have also been working on an updated website as well, although it is going a little slower. The link idea is a very simple concept! At some point we will be doing online promotions with coupons, gifts and such to people who sign up.
